We made it to Sweden with almost all of our gear...the car seats stayed in Copenhagen while the rest of us were in Gothenburg. We borrowed a million year old car seat from the airline...you'd think that they would have more than one. It was as the women stated,"the only car seat in the airport." Some of the things we expect in other highly industrialized countries aren't always there. Another really amazing thing about Culture.
(NOT ACTUALLY THIS OLD...)

This was a marathon trip. Our travels started at 5:30 am trip to the airport. Three hours of waiting followed by a five hour flight to Washington D.C. One hour layover, then on to Copenhagen on a seven and a half hour fight.
At this point we'd been traveling 12 hours with one more short flight. All things considered this was an uneventful trip. The kids did really well.
The only real problem is that I cannot sleep on airplanes. If I'm lucky I'll get an hour here or there... but as usual I was unlucky this trip. This coupled with the time difference makes for a loopy Tony. The next couple of days are going to be a little nuts. But when you see what I get to wake up to for the next six weeks...it's all worth it.
Or am I going to sleep?
